About the Author.
Alexandra Bunt has spent much of her life believing that what would protect her lived outside of her. Illness, loss, love, entrepreneurship, heartbreak, and profound spiritual awakening gradually revealed a different truth: the only lasting fortress is the one we discover within.
After surviving a decade of childhood illness, a devastating car accident, Gamma Knife brain surgery, a heart attack accompanied by an out-of-body experience, and the unraveling of two marriages, Alexandra gradually discovered that every ending was quietly leading her home to herself.
Following the end of her first marriage, she crossed the border into the United States with her two young daughters. Together with her brother Franky, they build DialMex from a living room into a $26 million telecommunications company, later recognized by Entrepreneur magazine and Dun & Bradstreet as one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States.
Through every chapter of her life, the unconditional love of her mother—and later the love of her daughters—became the thread that carried her home to herself. That journey ultimately led her to discover the inner presence she calls I AM, and the deep peace that comes from living in alignment with it.
Today, Alexandra lives in Mission, Texas, with her husband, Paul, surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and dear friends. She writes weekly reflections exploring love, presence, and the extraordinary wisdom hidden within ordinary life.
A Fortress of Love: Returning Home to I AM is her first book.
